Michael Jensen gives an overview of the Marlin XL7 bolt-action rifle. It’s a beautiful gun with a lot of key features.

it looks good. I would like to try one of those rifles.
It looks like a terrific rifle to me from the video I saw!

I wouldn't mind getting one in .30-06 or .223.

I have 30-06, sub moa REM 150 CL, lousy (about 2"+) with Rem 165 CL. Very nice and inexpensive.
Try different ammo, mine is very picky about a trivial 15 grains of bullet.

I have the XL7C in 7mm-08. On 8/19/2011 I took it to our local range to check out some new handloads, even though the temp. was crowding 90 degrees. First 3 rounds of Sierra 120 gr. Pro Hunter, over 42 gr. of Varget, GM210M primer, R-P cases, went into one hole off the bench at 100 yards. You had to look very hard to see that 3 bullets had passed through the target. I didn't even know how to measure it. I emailed a scan of the target to Sierra. They liked it a lot. You needn't ask how I like my Marlin rifle!

I have one in a 270 and I love the gun is very accurate at 100 yards and for the price you can't beat it.
