Emily began shooting at the age of 11 as part of the Police Athletic League; today she’s a resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is her second Olympics. In the 2004 Games she finished ninth in air rifle. There’s no question about her dominance here in the States; she’s captured the national title in women’s air rifle in 2005, ’06, ’07 and won the Olympic team trials earlier this year to earn a spot on the Beijing squad.
