Big Horn Armory entered the industry back in 2008 with the intended purpose of designing a Browning-style lever action rifle chambered in the powerful .500 S&W Magnum, which it accomplished with its Model 89 . Now the company is at it again, this time introducing a lever action rifle chambered in .460 S&W Magnum.
The new Big Horn Armory Model 90 represents the first repeating rifle ever developed for the .460 S&W Magnum cartridge, which offers a flatter trajectory and more energy at the muzzle than the .500 S&W Magnum. Engineered using CNC technology and built with precision machined and properly hardened 17-4PH stainless steel, the Model 90 offers the shooter a rugged shooting platform. As with all Big Horn Armory products, the Model 90 is completely manufactured in the U.S.
Introduced in both a rifle and carbine setup, the new Big Horn Armory Model 90 will allow hunters or shooters to use .45 Colt, .454 Casull and .460 S&W in one rifle. Both the rifle and carbine are available with American Black Walnut, Hot Wood Treated Maple or Laminate stock options and Matte Stainless Steel, Hunter Black or Color Casehardened metal finishes.

The biggest difference between the rifle and carbine models is the barrel length, with the rifle featuring a 22-inch barrel and the carbine model sporting a shorter 18.5-inch barrel. Other major differences include magazine capacity — four rounds for the rifle versus six in the carbine model — and weight, with the rifle weighing 4 ounces more than the carbine at 8 pounds 6 ounces.
The new Big Horn Armory Model 90 is available in a number of different configurations with prices ranging from $2,724 to $3,774.
