Remington and Zeiss Team Up
July 18, 2011
In these tough economic times, manufacturers have to work extra hard to come up with ways to entice the shooting public to buy new products, and that often means discounting or rebating. It also creates some interesting partnerships. With hunting season just around the corner, two widely recognized brands, Remington and Zeiss, have decided to team up to bring hunters and shooters a way to get some money back.
Beginning August 1 (that's August 1, folks; it's still July, so don't go running to your LGS for this deal just yet), if you buy both a qualifying Remington rifle and Zeiss scope and jump through the right hoops by December 31, 2011, you'll get a $150 American Express gift card rebate.
Rifles covered under this deal — which they're calling Ultimate Combo — include Model 700 CDL, CDL SF, BDL, XCR, XCR II or XHR rifles. Pair that with nearly any Zeiss Conquest or Victory riflescope (all except the Conquest 3-9x40 with No. 20 reticle, a plex-style reticle) to qualify for the rebate. Both rifle and scope need to be purchased from authorized dealers of their respective brands. But you don't need to buy them together. As long as both rifle and scope are purchased by the December 31 deadline.
Then all you need to do is fill out a rebate form, which can be found at Zeiss or Remington's rebate site and mail it in along with both original sales receipts and proof of purchase to receive a $150 American Express Gift Card. (And again, you won't find info on Ultimate Combo on these links just yet. It begins August 1.) All Ultimate Combo rebates must be postmarked by January 14, 2012, and cannot be combined with other rebate promotions.
So if you're in the market for a new rig, this is a way to do it and get a little something back.
