ATK Sporting has announced that it will participate in the Rimfire Challenge Ammo Roundup, which will help ensure that the National Shooting Sports Foundation ( NSSF ) Rimfire Challenge program's target shooters have a reliable source of ammunition. ATK Sporting is already a Platinum-level supporter of the program.
The company, which is a major manufacturer of ammunition, firearms and accessories, will provide 600,000 rounds of CCI rimfire ammunition to the Rimfire Challenge Ammo Roundup. The roundup program serves as a fulfillment center for match directors to purchase ammunition for events.
"Action rimfire sports like the NSSF Rimfire Challenge are paving the way for a whole new generation of shooters," said Ryan Bronson, Senior Manager of Conservation and Public Policy at ATK Sporting Group. "We are happy to provide CCI ammunition to help support a program that is promoting exciting and safe trigger time for both the new shooters and folks that have been shooting for years."
The Rimfire Challenge is a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation , the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry. The program helps introduce newcomers to competition target shooting with a safe and fun first-time experience using .22-caliber handguns and rifles and steel targets. Previously known as the Ruger Rimfire Challenge , NSSF this year took on administrative responsibilities for the program.
