Who ever would’ve thought Camp Perry’s hallowed National Matches would not take place? The Board of Directors of the Civilian Marksmanship program took that drastic step April 22 when it decided to cancel the 2020 National Matches due to restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We were unable to come up with a manner in which we could safely produce the Matches,” said CMP board chairman Judith Legerski. “Housing and pit duty were among the many insurmountable problems faced by the CMP board.”’

Previously CMP announced the cancellation of all activities at its Alabama and Ohio armories, stores, worksites, marksmanship centers and the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park until May 4. We will monitor to continue to monitor this situation and bring you news of any updates.
