The year 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the Ruger 10/22 , which is without a doubt one of the most popular rimfire rifles ever built.
Ruger unveiled its 50th Anniversary Model 10/22 rifle in April, and now the company has released its new, limited edition Ruger Collector's Series 10/22 Carbine  to further commemorate the 10/22's 50 years of production.
As with the 50th Anniversary Model , the Collector's Series 10/22 Carbine features a limited-time, 50th Anniversary bolt engraving and special receiver marking, packaged in a commemorative box.
The Collector's Series carbine also includes a Collector's Series pin, a 10/22 50th Anniversary bumper sticker, a replica of the original 1964 10/22 ad and a limited edition Ruger Collector's Series street sign. In addition, the box for the Collector's Series gun features the exclusive Collector's Series box decal.

Unlike the 50th Anniversary Model, which sports a black composite stock with replaceable comb and butt units (as are found on Ruger's American Rimfire bolt-action rifle ) and military-style sights, the new Collector's Series 10/22 features a traditional black synthetic stock and a fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear sight. The Collector's Series also utilizes a cold hammer-forged black alloy steel barrel instead of the stainless steel barrel featured on the 50th Anniversary Model. Whereas the Anniversary Model features a Picatinny-style scope-mount rail, the Collector's Series rifle includes a combination scope base adapter for both Weaver-style and .22 "tip-off" scope mounts.
The Ruger Collector's Series 10/22 Carbine Rifle retains the 10/22's push-button, cross-bolt safety and incorporates an easy-to-use extended magazine release. The rifle ships with either one BX-25 magazine and one BX-1 10-round magazine or three BX-1 magazines.

"This Collector's Series rifle is a great chance for our customers to get their hands on a limited edition 10/22 - we are only producing 25,000 of them," said Chris Killoy, Ruger president and chief operating officer. "The Ruger 10/22 has always been special to Ruger, and to America, and we are excited to incorporate this unique model into the line and celebrate this milestone anniversary."
The Ruger Collector's Series 10/22 is available for $329.00.
The Ruger Collector's Series 10/22 Carbine also features a special marking on its receiver: "The Ruger 10/22 Rifle €¢ 22 LR - Fifty Years €¢ 1964-2014"
The Collector's Series 10/22 comes with the buyer's choice of either one BX-25 25-round magazine and one BX-1 10-round magazine or three BX-1 magazines.
A lot comes with the Ruger Collector's Series 10/22. In addition to the rifle and magazines, the buyer gets a collector's series pin, a 10/22 50th Anniversary bumper sticker, a replica of the original 1964 10/22 ad, a limited edition Ruger Collector's Series street sign and a commemorative 50th Anniversary box featuring an exclusive Collector's Series box decal.
