Roberts Precision Rifles recently completed a gun for the Lone Survivor Foundation , a gun that was part of the foundation's 2011 annual gala and was auctioned off for $7,000. If you're not familiar with the Lone Survivor Foundation, it's a nonprofit that helps wounded veterans — and their families — return to everyday life. The group aims to provide outdoor recreational and therapeutic opportunities for wounded warriors, and according to its website the group is building a ranch facility to make this possible.
Roberts Precision donated all the labor, and the following manufacturers donated the materials. The rifle is a .308 on Stiller Tac 30 action with a Hart MTU-contour barrel and McMillan A-5 stock. The scope is a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T, and it's housed in Badger Ordnance rings. The Huber Concepts 2-stage trigger breaks at two pounds. The FDE Cerakote finish was done by Grip Reductions , and the stock was painted by Dimensions by Holmes .
