Winchester Adds PDX1 Defender Loads

Winchester Adds PDX1 Defender Loads

winchester pdx1 defender logowinchester pdx1 defender logoFollowing on the heels of last year's introduction of PDX1 Defender centerfire rifle ammo designed specifically for personal defense, Winchester has added two loads to that line.

New is a 77-grainer in .223 Remington with a muzzle velocity of 2,500 fps; it's designed for use with fast twist barrels on the order of 1:7 to 1:9. The second new load is a 120-grain .308 Winchester with a muzzle velocity of 2,850 fps.

Both loads employ Winchester's Split Core bullet, which is designed to expand rapidly and dump its energy into a target without over-penetrating. Both new loads are designed for close-range defense work with AR-15 rifles.
