The large, online firearms and outdoor retailer turned heads when they launched an extensive optics line. At SHOT Show 2022, Brownells introduced a new 1-6x24mm into their Match Precision Optics (MPO) line, and they’re in stock and shipping now.

The new LPVO features an illuminated Donut, which Brownells based on the optic used for the Austrian StG77. It’s a simple reticle, ideal for quick target acquisition and transitions, but it still has full ability to hit targets at distance. The Donut reticle is glass-etched, and it has six illumination settings powered by a CR2032 battery.

It’s a second focal plane scope and uses a 30mm maintube with capped turrets. The 1-6X MPO also includes a throw lever and flip-up style lens caps. They’re built in Japan, which is known for manufacturing and developing premium rifle optics. The glass is fully multi-coated, providing excellent image quality in full daylight and low light.

LPVO scopes are highly popular for competition and tactical shooting, but with the simple Donut reticle, this LPVO has great potential as a hunting optic or general target-shooting scope. Out the door, you can find the 1-6x24mm Donut LPVO for less than $500. It has all the features we look for in a basic LPVO, and Brownells backs it up with a Guaranteed Forever warranty, so they stand by their in-house products. If you’re looking for a new LPVO that is easy to use and will hold up in the field, the Brownells 1-6x24mm Donut LPVO is a great place to start.
