First Look: Barrett REC7 Gen 2

New for 2014, the Barrett REC7 Gen 2 is a piston-operated rifle, available in both 5.56x45mm and 6.8 SPC.


The REC 7 Gen 2's main features include a chrome lined, cold hammer-forged barrel and a modular free-floating handguard with Keymod attachment points.


Barrett also equips the rifle with a Bravo Co. charging handle, PRI flip-up sights, Magpul furniture and two 30-round magazines. REC7 Gen 2 rifles are available in traditional black and a few popular Cerakote finishes; OD Green, Tungsten Gray and FDE.

The Barrett REC7 Gen 2 is ready to ship now, for a price of $2,750.
