Savage Arms made a groundbreaking introduction at the 2015 SHOT Show by introducing a magnum-capable rimfire semiauto rifle.
The new Savage A17 rifle chambered in .17 HMR is one of the first autoloading rimfire rifles built to reliably fire and cycle magnum rimfire loads. The rifle pairs a delayed-blowback action with a case-hardened steel receiver manufactured from billets and a chrome bolt to handle the increased pressure common with magnum rimfires.
Other features found on the new A17 rifle include Savage's popular AccuTrigger adjustable trigger and a 10-round rotary magazine for reliable feeding.
CCI has also developed an ammo offering specifically optimized for the A17 rifle. Although it will work in other .17 HMR rifles, the new A17 ammo from CCI is designed to perform better out of and more effectively operate the A17 rifle's semiauto action.
